By using img-compress, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.
What img-compress is
img-compress is a free tool that compresses and converts images (JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF) entirely within your browser. We don't operate any backend that receives, stores, or processes the images you compress — all processing happens locally on your device.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use automated tools to scrape, overload, or abuse the site; not to attempt to disable, circumvent, or interfere with its security, consent, or ad-serving mechanisms; not to use the site for any unlawful purpose; and not to present any of the site's software or content as your own.
Intellectual property
The img-compress software, design, and branding belong to the site operator, except for the open-source components it's built on, which remain under their own licenses. Any images you process through the tool remain entirely yours — we never receive, view, or claim any right to them.
No warranty
img-compress is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We don't guarantee the tool will be error-free, uninterrupted, or produce a specific result.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the site operator is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, img-compress — including loss of files, since compression happens locally and we have no way to access or recover anything you don't separately keep a copy of.
Third-party services
The site uses Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, and Google AdSense; your use of the site is also subject to Google's own terms where applicable. See our Privacy Policy for details on what data these services collect.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Mexico. Any dispute arising from these terms or your use of img-compress will be submitted to the competent courts of Mexico, and you waive any other jurisdiction that might apply due to your present or future domicile.
